A Priori Estimates in Several Complex Variables

چکیده
Classically there are two points of view in the study of global existence problems in the theory of functions of a complex variable. One is to piece together local solutions (such as power series), always staying within the category of holomorphic functions. This method seems to have been initiated by Weierstrass; in the theory of several complex variables it has been implemented by the study of cohomology with coefficients in the sheaf of germs of holomorphic functions (more generally in the sheaf of germs of holomorphic sections of vector bundles). The second approach is to view the Cauchy-Riemann equations as a linear operator on C°° functions and to study this operator as an operator in Hilbert space; which leads to the Dirichlet integral and this method was first exploited by Riemann. In the theory of several complex variables this approach has led to the theory of harmonic integrals, which have been developed and widely applied in the compact case and which have recently been extended to the noncompact case. I t is this extension which is the main concern of the present lecture. For simplicity we will deal with functions on a domain M(ZC, although the results carry over to forms with coefficients in holomorphic vector bundles on finite manifolds. Let s, • • • , z be coordinates in C and let x = Re(z) and y — lm(z). Then if u is a differentiate function we define uzk and u& by

Optimal order finite element approximation for a hyperbolic integro-differential equation
Semidiscrete finite element approximation of a hyperbolic type integro-differential equation is studied. The model problem is treated as the wave equation which is perturbed with a memory term. Stability estimates are obtained for a slightly more general problem. These, based on energy method, are used to prove optimal order a priori error estimates.

Let f, g and h be all entire functions of several complex variables. In this paper we would like to establish some inequalities on the basis of relative order and relative lower order of f with respect to g when the relative orders and relative lower orders of both f and g with respect to h are given.
متن کاملUniform a Priori Estimates for a Class of Horizontal Minimal Equations
In the product space H × R, we obtain uniform a priori C horizontal length estimates, uniform a priori C boundary gradient estimates, as well as uniform modulus of continuity, for a class of horizontal minimal equations. In two independent variables, we derive a certain uniform global a priori C estimates and we infer an existence result.

We determine the form of polynomially bounded solutions to the Loewner differential equation that is satisfied by univalent subordination chains of the form $f(z,t)=e^{int_0^t A(tau){rm d}tau}z+cdots$, where $A:[0,infty]rightarrow L(mathbb{C}^n,mathbb{C}^n)$ is a locally Lebesgue integrable mapping and satisfying the condition $$sup_{sgeq0}int_0^inftyleft|expleft{int_s^t [A(tau)...
متن کاملQuasi-Optimal Approximation of Surface Based Lagrange Multipliers in Finite Element Methods
We show quasi-optimal a priori convergence results in the Land H−1/2-norm for the approximation of surface based Lagrange multipliers such as those employed in the mortar finite element method. We improve on the estimates obtained in the standard saddle point theory, where error estimates for both the primal and dual variables are obtained simultaneously and thus only suboptimal a priori estima...
